Driving Broader Impact

Our work provides a direct pathway to understanding and treating more prevalent conditions like autism, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. We believe that studying rare, multi-gene syndromes like 15q13.3 can uncover insights that will be transformative for millions.

For us, By us.

My name is Reed. I have 15q13.3 microdeletion syndrome, autism and epilepsy. I go to school with typical kids, but my life is different and more difficult. It’s harder for me to do things and relate to people. I know other kids with 15q13.3 have even bigger challenges than me. I feel sad for kids who can’t speak or who feel unhappy or angry all the time.

My family helped me start Reed’s Reach for 15q13.3 because we want to reach out and help every person and family affected by the disorder, and we are starting now! We promise to fight for a better future for all of us, working with doctors and scientists who also want to help. Our hope for the future is big!
